Profitability
No poker 'bot' guarantees profitability.
Any website that you may have seen promising untold
riches from poker 'botting' is likely to be a scam and
a waste of money. Frogbot is a genuine
product and has an established base of users, many of
whom have experienced significant financial success
with the software. This is why we offer a forum
where beginners and experienced users alike can ask
questions and offer advice. This is the best place to
start if you have never experimented with 'botting'
before.
Even if you have no intention of botting, Online Hold'Em
Inspector and Poker Tracker are musts
for any serious online poker player, providing a wealth
of statistical information for analysis. These products
are well known and respected products in the online
poker community, and will to all extents and purposes
pay for themselves when used properly.
However, for OHI to work successfully, you will need
a proven profile to play with. This is the true 'brain'
of Frogbot. You can program one yourself within OHI,
or you can purchase a successful one from established
profile developers with proven results. The best place
to look for information on successful profiles is either
on the Frogbot forum or on the OHI forum itself. You
must take into consideration the limit you wish to play
at, the site you wish to play at, and the style of profile
when weighing up which profile will be most profitable
for you. Some profiles have been shown over hundreds
of thousands of hands to win consistently at very low
limits, and it is no secret that there are many people
out there using Frogbot to pull in monthly incomes of
hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of dollars.
Once you have decided upon a site and a profile (or
combination of profiles), you will now have to choose
the optimal settings within Frogbot that will utilise
this profile to maximum effect. The crucial decisions,
and some suggestions, are:
- What size table do you want to play at?
Most players choose full ring games, although
this will depend on the profile you are using and
the site you are playing at. For instance, at Absolute
FBotters play short-handed games with very loose-aggressive
profiles.
- What should be the minimum number of players
at the table?
If you are using a full ring profile, you won't
want the number of players to drop below, say, seven.
Although if you have OHI set to switch profiles depending
on the number of players then you might be happy to
set this much lower. For short-handed games, tend
to use between 4-6 players.
- What profit/loss limits are optimal?
Start by using 'absolute values' in Frogbot, and set
the profit limit as several big bets (BBs) higher
than the loss limit. For instance, at $0.25/$0.50
you may wish to set profit as $10 and the loss limit
as $-6.5. Profit/loss settings are considered by some
as vital to overall profitability with Frogbot, as
they prevent you from staying at a table at which
you just cannot win.
Ensure that you have taken advantage of any deposit/reload
bonuses offered by the site you are playing at as Frogbot
will allow you to rack up huge numbers of hands and
claim these with relative ease. Even better is its ability
to accrue rakeback, meaning that you
get paid a small amount for every hand you play.
Now imagine you're playing 10,000 hands per day - that's
a lot of rakeback, whatever the limit!
Starting from scratch and after purchasing all of the
above, taking into account the bonuses you will be making
from the poker site and the table profits, there is
no reason why all of the above software will not pay
for itself after a month four-tabling even at $0.15/$0.30
limit! Whilst table profit is always nice, bonus clearance
and rakeback
is where the bot really shines. For instance, sign up
for a new account at Hollywood for their VIP bonus and
you can clear several hundred dollars of bonus each
month! Or perhaps you would like to go for UltimateBet's
$650 first deposit match, or FullTilt's $600 first deposit
match. Or go for all of them, and simply schedule Frogbot
to switch sites every few hours!
And from then on in, it really is all profit. But don't
take our word for it. Join the forums, make yourself
at home, then try for yourself...
